2. One of the best sites I have found for anything you will need in Taiwan is www.tealit.com or you can use a lonely planet Taipei book which is also very useful
3. yes, tealit is a good site. http://tealit.com has a good overview of everything. another good site is the Taiwanfun site: http://taiwanfun.com but its more of a resource for us expats... a few other good sites with good Taiwan pages include http://virtualtourist.com search for 'taiwan' and get the destinations Lonely planets Taiwan section http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/categories.cfm?catid=19&iCountryId=89 and there is occasionally us out here at this site. (my apologies to the other regulars- I have been a bit busier than normal lately) and many more sites if you go to google and type 'taiwan tours' that can help you!
